The Palomar Lux1440 Fractional™ Laser (non-ablative) is the latest generation in skin resurfacing technology. The Palomar Fractional™ laser smooths fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin discoloration as well as offers mild skin tightening, but without the downtime or mild to moderate redness associated with other skin resurfacing technologies.
The Palomar Lux1440 and Lux1540 Fractional™ lasers treats only a portion of the targeted skin at a time by delivering light in an array of microbeams into the skin.These microbeams penetrate well below the epidermis and into the dermis, sparing the tissue surrounding the beams from damage. Who is a good candidate?

What is the procedure?
First Dr. Young will numb your skin with a topical anesthetic to aid in treatment comfort. During the procedure you will feel a warm sensation as the laser is applied. Immediately following treatment, your skin will be warm, and will appear as thought you sunburned. Dr. Young will then provided you with a skin care regimen to follow for the days following your treatment.
Is there down time?
Depending on the level of aggressiveness that Dr. Young will treat you with, the down time could range between 1 to 7 days.
What kind of results can I expect?
As your skin heals, you will begin to notice an improvement in fine lines, wrinkles, scars, pigmentation, tone and texture. You should expect to continue to see improvements for up to six months following the procedures.
